Federal Resources

Older Americans Act (OAA)

  • Supports services for adults age 60+: meals (home-delivered or at centers), caregiver support, transportation, legal assistance, and more.
  • States receive funding and local Area Agencies on Aging provide services.
  • If you are 60 or older, you may be eligible for OAA-funded services.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)

  • Federal job training and part-time work for low-income adults age 55+.
  • Helps seniors who want to stay active, re-enter the workforce, or supplement income.

National Eldercare Locator (Administration for Community Living)

  • A toll-free service that connects older adults and caregivers with local resources by ZIP code.

    Connects callers to local Area Agencies on Aging and services by ZIP code.

Local Resources

County Older Resident Programs (CORP) – St. Louis County

  • For St. Louis County residents age 60+ provides services such as volunteer transportation to medical appointments and telephone reassurance/home visits.

Senior Centers in City of St. Louis

  • The City’s website lists multiple senior centers offering home-delivered meals, congregate meals, transportation, health screenings, etc.
  • Give options for older adults to remain socially engaged and access nutrition/transportation.
