Congressman Bell Hosts Second Annual Job Fair Bringing Employment Opportunities to District
The annual event brought together over 50 vendors and hundreds of potential employees
Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Wesley Bell (D-MO-01) hosted his second annual job fair. The event brought together over 50 job vendors, with some applicants landing roles during the fair.
“I was proud to bring together over 50 job vendors and hundreds of job seekers hoping to land employment. It is no secret that the cost of living is increasing, and hosting events just like today’s helps alleviate some of the financial stress that families are feeling. This is what happens when we support and uplift one another,” said Congressman Bell during the job fair.
The fair also had a presentation from the Tax Advocate Service, providing some of the best practices to stay on top of tax documents. The event also offered assistance with resumes.
Congressman Bell has made lowering the cost of living for working families a central focus of his time in Congress. He has fought against Republican budget cuts to food assistance, pushed to crack down on price gouging, and worked to cap prescription drug costs so families in St. Louis aren't forced to choose between their medication and their monthly bills. Across all of it, his message has been consistent: no family should have to make impossible choices just to get by.
