IRS – Free Tax Return Preparation (VITA & TCE Programs)

  • Free basic tax return preparation for eligible taxpayers (typically those making ≤ $67,000 per year, seniors, people with disabilities, and those with limited English).

Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS)

  • Independent arm of the IRS that helps taxpayers resolve ongoing problems with audits, collections, delays, or other IRS disputes.

Low-Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITC)

  • Provide free or low-cost legal help for IRS disputes (audits, liens, appeals, etc.) for low-income taxpayers.
